Camp Spearhead is more than just a camp for youth and adults with special needs. It truly is a bridge to a special world for individuals who experience daily challenges that are inescapable and overwhelming. Some cannot talk, walk or feed themselves and require one-on-one assistance 24 hours a day. At Camp Spearhead, campers experience acceptance through friendship, dignity through challenge, and hope through unconditional love.
Camp Spearhead's home since 1990 has been sold and Camp must relocate. The Greenville County Recreation District has developed plans to build a new camp facility and permanent home for Camp Spearhead at Pleasant Ridge Park. We are within $1.6 million dollars of the $10 million required to make our new permanent home a reality.
